Background

About Shannon Beauregard

Currently working in MA public school system as a director of curriculum alignment. I am working with the middle and high school teachers as they write curriculum maps. Prior to this position, I have been working as a middle school science teacher after getting my MEd from UMass Amherst. I spent the first years of my career as an application and technical support engineer. I worked with hot runner systems at KONA/Dynisco and high tech filtration at Millipore Micro Electronics - now EMD Millipore. During my time at Millipore I was promoted to supervisor of Technical and Customer support. During this time, I did a lot of training of staff and really enjoyed the teaching aspect of this position. After taking some time off to raise my family, my husband and I ventured into the world of Indoor Golf Simulation and developed a business plan that revolved around this concept which was cutting edge at the time. We started our own indoor golf facility and restaurant. We successfully ran this instititution for 5 years. At this point, I decided I wanted a career change and that is how I began my career as a teacher.
