About Shannon Bray

Shannon Bray is the Area Director of Broadlands for the New Homes Division of Van Metre Companies. Originally from Northern Virginia, she began her career as a Sales Assistant with a local builder in 1990 and continued in the industry full time following her graduation from The College of William and Mary. She specializes in new home sales, marketing and market research in both Virginia and Maryland and has successfully navigated this competitive industry for 25+ years. In Fall 2019, she earned her MS in Real Estate Development (MRED) from George Mason’s School of Business. After a multi award-winning career in new home sales, Shannon transitioned to Director, Market Research, where she oversees research initiatives for New Homes by conducting market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and pricing opportunities. Responsibilities include developing and implementing research strategies, analyzing consumer behavior and competition data, levering industry relationships to gain better understanding of the current competitive landscape, reviewing competition monthly, working closely with the VP of Market Intelligence to establish strategic pricing and positioning for each product line and community, and partnering with the sales team to implement insights gained into actionable items.
