About Shannon Hoey

As a Nurse Practitioner at Advanced Pain Management Center, I provide evidence-based and compassionate care to patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. I work with a multidisciplinary team of interventional pain specialists, physical therapists, psychologists, and pharmacists to develop and implement individualized pain management plans. I have eight years of healthcare experience in various settings, including long term care, management and inpatient and outpatient settings. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University, with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner. I am currently enrolled at Maryville University for a Psychiatric Mental Health NP program to pursue my passion of psychiatry. I am certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. I also have skills in LGBTQIA+ health, contraception, telehealth, and patient education. My passion is to improve the quality of life and functionality of my patients, while adhering to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice. I am always eager to learn new techniques and technologies, and to participate in research studies and training programs to enhance my knowledge and skills. My goal is to become a leader and an advocate in the field of medicine, and to contribute to the advancement of the NP profession. My future goals as an NP highlights the need for expanding mental health knowledge in the healthcare setting. I am currently working towards achieving a Board Certification for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
