About Shannon Lerner

I provide financial advice for queer, poly and allied folks so they can feel confident living life fully, knowing their finances are under control. I also work with many people who have disabilities, and their families. I have lived experience managing my own disability, and as a caregiver to family members with disabilities. Financial information is one of the most personal and intimate things a person can share. I honour the trust placed in me and provide a safe environment to discuss the experiences and dreams that shape how you want your future to look. Then I work with you to develop and implement a plan to secure your wealth and financial wellness. Over the years, we'll update your plan as life throws curveballs or your priorities evolve. I have been working in the financial industry for 20+ years in various roles. I am licensed to provide advice on life and living benefits insurance in Ontario and have access to several insurers in the Canadian marketplace. I offer mutual funds through Investia. I am also a Responsible Investing Specialist; ask me about investing with your personal values or faith in mind. I have started working towards my Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP). I'm a single parent of two adults. My 22 year old is honing stellar customer service skills in retail. My 19 year old is starting a trades career in hydraulics and automotive. I strive to be a trusted adult for the youth in my community. I've fostered 30 cats from rescue to adoption and have managed to adopt only two of them: Pickles and Pearl. I love hiking, kayaking and trail running. I am a retired ultramarathoner, having completed ultramarathons of 50 km and 80 km.
