About Shannon Smith

Shannon Smith has over nine years of experience in customer service as a sales associate, a bartender, a server, and a customer service representative. Shortly after working as a server at two different companies, Shannon was promoted to a training and a supervising position at each location. Through the nine years of experience working in customer service Shannon learned problem solving skills, professionalism, and time management. She was also a volunteer assistant coach for four years coaching a girl’s rep team through Fleetwood Fast Pitch association, an organization she grew up playing with. While Shannon was working as a coach she honed her leadership skills and developed effective communication skills. After graduation from high school, Shannon attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University for two years completing general study courses where she learned that had a passion for business. That led to her decision to attend BCIT to complete her Business Management Diploma to develop the skill set required to become a successful business person. Shortly after graduating from BCIT, she starting working at Fortis BC as a customer service representative, where she combined her work experience and education in a corporate - customer focused environment.
