About Shannon Starr

Shannon Starr is a Pittsburgh native who has dedicated the greater part of her life to studying the creative and literary arts, namely classical ballet and film. She is driven by passion and an insatiable yearning for intellectual stimulation in everything that she does. Being a trained ballet dancer as well as a film director and producer, she has honed her skills in discipline, organization, and creative problem solving, particularly in being able to find solutions in instances with incomplete information. She has held numerous positions in both retail and food service, as well as having experience in business administration, equipment rental, marketing, and product development. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Peters Township High School where she earned recognition on the Honor Roll and from the College Board as an AP Scholar. She holds a bachelor's degree in Cinema Production with a minor in Dance from Point Park University from which she also graduated Summa Cum Laude. As of December 2024, Shannon holds a Masters degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
