About Shareef Turner

I am currently employed as an IT Pod Lead, helping to support and manage an in-house IT Support team to deliver exemplary IT Support service within a large private business. My responsibilities include direct line management, advanced IT support and troubleshooting, automation, project management, statistics and data analysis, and delivering training. I have further experience working within an ITIL-managed framework, an ISO 27001-compliant company, Microsoft deployments (both on-premises and cloud SaaS), local managed networking, and specialised legal software. I would love to progress further either into Systems Support (e.g. as a sysadmin) to expand on my in-depth IT knowledge, or into IT Management to make use of my interpersonal, management and organisational skills. I graduated from the University of Bristol with a high 2:1 Master's degree (MSci, by research). My Master's thesis was written on my research in reactive gold(I) complexes, exploring their structure and synthesis for potential catalytic applications. I have additional keen interests digital photography and playing the guitar.
