About Shari Gaston

There is nothing I enjoy more than furthering my knowledge and skills to better showcase myself as an asset in the media and project management field. When it comes to professional development, one of my core values is to continuously strive to learn. I believe that every moment is a teachable moment and your professional development never ends. With this mindset, I have been able to achieve one of my many goals of becoming a director/producer via the CanTV Studio Production program as well as furthering my education at Full Sail University. To continue my journey in project management, I hope to use my skills as a project coordinator in a creative space. I was a student with the non-profit organization, Year Up to gain more knowledge and skills in project management. During their learning and development training semester, I was able to strengthen my technical and soft skills and be able to apply those skills to my next role. As an Operations & Finance intern at an E-Learning Consulting Company, I have been able to utilize my problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills. A few of my key tasks included: monitoring invoices, maintaining various project management and finance platforms, and contributing to team efforts of process improvement. While performing these tasks I have had the opportunity to witness first-hand how a business is run and learn transferable skills/knowledge in a project management environment.
