I'm a devoted Researcher with years of field and organizing experience in sustainability and environmental projects, working diligently towards creating a greener future. My expertise lies in mixed-methods research, strategic thinking, and environmental science, backed by a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements. My work within CARB's AB 32 Climate Change Scoping Plan Environmental Justice Advisory Committee has provided me with critical opportunities to influence policies around climate change. As co-chair of the committee, I led outreach strategies spanning statewide, directed logistics for meetings and community toxic tours, and provided feedback on life cycle health impacts related to oil refining and industrial pollution. Additionally, I've actively contributed as part of the Oakland General Plan update's Deeply Rooted partnership as a Project Manager while simultaneously spearheading the 2024 East Oakland Diesel Truck Study. These roles have allowed me to develop my skills of data collection and analysis, and to deliver written and verbal impactful comments on language justice and environmental concerns facing East Oakland residents. My unique blend of administrative skills combined with a firm grounding in social policy and public health research sets me apart. As an educator at heart, I've also facilitated student discussions at UC Berkeley as a student instructor, tutored K-8th graders in various subjects, and led public education presentations and workshops on the environmental sciences.
