About Sharisse Cumberbatch

Since 2012, I have served as Senior Counsel for ANDMORE in High Point, North Carolina. In my daily work, I guide senior and executive leadership, and all corporate departments on a variety of business matters, including commercial real estate leases, operations and vendor contracts, SaaS contracts, compliance matters, corporate governance, risk-benefit analysis, risk management, data privacy, and due diligence. As of January 2025, in my new role as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel & Data Privacy Officer, I have the unique opportunity to utilize my MBA as part of the Corporate Development Strategy Team; continue my legal leadership responsibilities in support of all corporate departments and, as Data Privacy Officer take ownership of the design and implementation of the company's corporate privacy and data governance program. I am passionate about my hybrid role because I contribute to the company's growth and success strategically and tactically by providing leadership to multiple departments across various disciplines - business, legal, and compliance. Prior to joining ANDMORE, I was an associate counsel of real estate for Tanger Outlets, a public REIT with upscale outlet shopping centers across the US and Canada, as well as a leasing and bankruptcy counsel for Glimcher Realty Trust, also a REIT (n/k/a Washington Prime Group, Inc.). I hold JD and MBA degrees from Howard University and I am admitted to practice in North Carolina and Ohio. I am also a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) and Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe (CIPP/E) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Additionally, I hold an In-house Counsel Certification through the Association of Corporate Counsel.
