About Sharnell Walker

As a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Master of Public Health degree, I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge in workforce. My current position is a federal background investigator with CACI I have a caseload of seven cases each week that involve me, interviewing, neighbors, references, former employers, and obtaining education and employment records for people that were undergoing federal background checks for security clearances. Also, while I’m in this position, I hold a top secret security clearance. As a Program Analyst at General Dynamics Information Technology, I supported the CDC's Vaccine Task Force and the Monkeypox response, facilitating the clearance of over 10 documents weekly, maintaining a standard operations procedure, and organizing a SharePoint file. I also obtained a T1 security clearance and worked on secure projects. Previously, I worked as a Covid-19 Case Investigator at the Georgia Department of Public Health, where I consulted and interviewed over 30 newly diagnosed cases weekly, assisted with outbreak investigations and management, and promoted awareness and education within the Augusta District. Additionally, I gained field experience in working with rural and migrant communities as an intern at Magnolia Coastlands Area Health Education Center.
