About Sharon Cassidy

Sharon's background is over 20 years in the Health Industry in various positions and she now specialises in, and is extremely passionate about Healthcare Clinical Simulation. A nationally licenced instructor in Advanced Life Support and NHET-SIM, she prides herself in promoting contemporary and strategically focused learner centric principles. Sharon is committed to collaboration, interdisciplinary learning and the future possibilities when dealing with complex healthcare educational issues through simulation, visualisation and immersive design. Future learning methodologies and design-led approaches to healthcare education are a must, and with the current momentum of Serious Games, VR and AR, the need for collaboration and human centred design principles are ever increasing. Sharon has a particular interest and skill set around Human-centred design and user experience in mixed reality educational products. She is a strong, socially responsible communicator who will utilise ethical and creative problem solving methodologies. Sharon prides herself on critical thinking abilities and the use of reflection to ensure a systematic and iterative process in the creation of immersive learning experiences.
