About Sharon D. Scott

Working at Evergreen Treatment Services (ETS) has allowed me to expand my project management skills and use all of my healthcare experience to improve processes, design workflows, analyze, interpret patient data and improve patient privacy. In my role as a Clinical Informatics Specialist, ETS leadership recognized my passion for leading projects that improve clinical services. I developed reports using raw data gathered about patients to reduce patient Emergency Department (ED) utilization. Developed a patient registry to produce measured outcomes. I have a proven track record of acting as a liaison between the patient, various clinics, hospitals, and ancillary services to coordinate activities involved for patient care. As the Privacy Officer for ETS, I administered policy and procedures implementation designed for ETS that meet 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulatory requirements. I have developed and managed audit reports for the privacy program, breaches, risk analysis, and business associate agreements. Organization liaison educating staff in the implementation of 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA compliance. Comprehensive education federal law regarding the disclosure of 42 CFR Part 2 patient health information for court orders and subpoenas.
