2025 National Cyber Awards Finalist in Financial Services: nominated by National Cyber Resilience Centre Group for my work at Nationwide as a National Ambassador promoting Cyber Essentials in our supply chain.A senior information and cyber security manager - and data protection specialist. I integrate operational security and data privacy in all aspects of my work, with my prime objective being to protect the rights of individuals by managing security risk effectively. I am skilled in data protection, information and cyber security, data risk management and communicating effectively with stakeholders across all levels of seniority. I am a CISM, have a law degree and graduated from Oxford University. I began my career working at the ICO.I have been happy and privileged to coach and mentor several security colleagues in the earlier phases of their careers - in permanent roles and secondment placements, via consultancy engagements and supporting apprentices and graduate trainees. I am a strong advocate for opening up the cyber community to colleagues from diverse backgrounds and recognising transferrable skillsets. I am a cyber career mentor for the University of East London.The aspects of security management that I enjoy most are collaborating with business colleagues within my own company and in supplier and partner organisations, building effective relationships and working together to continuously improve our services, leveraging technology and innovation to keep pace with the cyber threat landscape.
