About Sharon Jiang

After eight years in media and marketing, I recently pivoted to the healthcare recruitment industry. 2015 - 2023: During my career in media and marketing, I had a keen interest in building digital communities and creating inspiring and exciting content. I worked for companies in the PropTech, Higher Education and FMCG industries and managed end-to-end projects in all areas of social and digital media. My digital portfolio include The University of New South Wales, Domain, ASOS Australia and Harper's Bazaar. I also ran a podcast passion project, called Crazy Biatch Asians, alongside my full time media roles. The pod discussed issues that relate to the Asian diaspora and in its heyday ranked #1 on Apple Podcasts New & Noteworthy and #14 in the Society and Culture category in Australia (May 2021). It was an avenue to personally connect with my mother culture while contributing to the wider Asian diapora through meaningful discussions. While I'm no longer producing new episodes, the podcast is still live on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. 2023 onwards: As a Recruitment Consultant at Verus Nursing, I specialise in placing locum nurses into rural and remote clinics in WA which service Indigenous communities.
