About Sharon Johnson

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and have worked in the science industry for a good part of my life. Through my experiences I loved scientific research the best and at one point (early on) wanted to be a Nobel Prize winner for a research project that I developed. But then… life set in and took me in a different direction. The next phase of my life took me into analytical chemistry where I was an environmental chemist analyzing both environmental and industrial hygiene samples using GC (multiple detectors) and HPLC instrumentation. So the love of science continued. Eventually, an opportunity within the company I was working for presented itself to me taking me out of the laboratory and into customer service/marketing/sales where my vast scientific background could serve customers in a different way. My early customer service years involved multiple facets of customer service which I really enjoyed. Not only did I spend time in the office but also traveled to marketing events throughout the country which not only gave me the opportunity to learn more about the market but to also build customer relationships. Nothing beats meeting your customers! At Paragon Laboratories, our mission statement is “For Health and Happiness”. This for me personally means having a healthy environment. Whether it be environmental science or car emissions keeping our environment “healthy” is a passion. “Happiness” to me is important both personally and professionally. Keeping a good work-life balance keeps me happy personally. Taking care of my customers and exceeding their expectations keeps me happy professionally. My philosophy is simple, and what I learned from my grandmother many, many years ago. “Treat other as you would like to be treated”. Having the approach of putting yourself in your customers’ shoes and asking yourself “how would you like to be treated” keeps my level of service where it should and needs to be!
