About Sharon Lin

I am a passionate laboratory scientist with a clear goal: to improve the health and wellbeing of the community. I have a strong academic background, including a Bachelor of Biotechnology with Honours and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, which has equipped me with a broad range of laboratory skills. During the past few years, I have also gained extensive experience in testing, analyzing, and validating specimens at a high standard. I have worked in private pathology laboratories covering both clinical chemistry, and histology, which has allowed me to gain expertise in a variety of areas, including clinical chemistry, haematology, microbiology, histopathology cut up, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining. As a team player, I possess excellent communication and liaison skills, which allows me to seamlessly collaborate with team members, leaders, and external stakeholders. I pride myself on my ability to build instant rapport with my colleagues and maintain a high level of professionalism. In addition, my strong analytical and problem-solving abilities enable me to take accountability and remain responsive, ensuring that key objectives are met. I thrive in challenging working environments and am committed to setting clear directions to achieve established goals. My academic background and professional experience have instilled in me a deep understanding of the importance of laboratory work in advancing scientific research and improving patient care. I am committed to contributing to this field through my work, and I am always seeking to learn and grow as a scientist.
