Background
About Sharon Main
I have been an educator for 30+ years. I became a certified counselor then took additional behavorial courses and became certified as a Special Education counselor. In addition to counseling students at school, I also went to Juvenile/County jail settings in both Athens, TX and Palestine, TX. Currently, I manage our Wildcat Alley room at PHS which houses a general education teacher bedsides myself. With both General Ed. and Special Ed. teachers present, we can serve any PHS student with out any stigma for special needs (504 or Sp. Ed.). I also coordinate our credit recovery program using PLATO computer-based technology for assisting students for lost credit that may have occurred due to poor grades or absences. Our RTI (Response to Intervention) program is housed within my classroom where records of teacher information are kept.
