About Sharon Manssen

Aurecon is a global, multi-disciplinary consultancy providing services in engineering design, surveying, planning, advisory services and project management. In my role as Quality & Assurance Leader for Australia and NZ, I am responsible for ensuring that my team executes the Quality team business plan in line with the global strategy and within our budget for the Australian & NZ operations. This includes: • Monitoring implementation of our ISO 9001/14001/45001/19650-certified management system - setting targets for numbers of compliance audits, reporting results to management, training/coaching our staff to understand the requirements. • I was heavily involved in writing the Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures, integrating them into the existing Aurecon Methodology. I oversaw the development of the NZ environmental legislation register. • We're embarking on the development of an Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure efficient management of existing certifications, as well as efficiencies when adding new management standards (eg ISO 27001) In everything that we do, the Quality team strives to be creative, innovate and engaging, to influence the business to get on board with our compliance requirements and improvement initiatives. A current focus is to leverage our digital ways of working to streamline and automate our compliance requirements.
