About Sharon Mitcheson

I’ve spent over 15 years working across the arts and charity sectors, helping organisations grow stronger, fairer, and more sustainable. My background spans finance, operations, and leadership - but what drives me most is the belief that good systems and good people can make a real difference. I’ve managed multi-million-pound budgets and led major overhauls that made organisations more secure and efficient, but my proudest moments have always been about people: helping teams feel confident, supported, and able to do their best work. Beyond my professional roles, I’m committed to creating a fairer world. I sit on several boards, including Labour Behind the Label, where I advocate for workers’ rights in the global clothing industry, and Trigger, where I combine my love of the arts with a focus on community engagement. I believe empathy and strategy aren’t opposites - they’re the foundation of real, lasting change.
