Senior civil-hydraulic engineer at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in the D2SI-Risk Informed Decision Making (RIDM) Branch, providing oversight and training for risk analyses and assessments. Formerly with the US Army Corps of Engineers Portland District where she spent over 20 years as a hydraulic and hydrologic engineer and dam and levee safety risk cadre lead. She’s served as a senior hydrologic engineering specialist providing expert knowledge of hydrologic engineering, technical leadership of hydrologic studies, and mentoring; as a technical specialist in hydraulic design and overall study lead with primary responsibility for risk assessments of high-risk dams and levees; and as an advisor on technical issues with respect to hydraulics and hydrologic engineering and dam safety risk management issues for USACE. She’s led large teams in conducting system-wide paleoflood, flow frequency, precipitation frequency, hydrologic loading, watershed modeling, PMP, and PMF studies for multiple high-hazard dams. She’s led, facilitated, and reviewed semi-quantitative and quantitative risk analysis studies for USACE dams and levees for over 12 years.
