You can’t connect the dots looking forward.” —Steve Jobs As I look back, it’s amazing to see how a career path featuring such a diversity of experience could have prepared me so perfectly for the role I have today as Office Administrator at BakerHostetler. My early days as a CPA, my role as Corporate Officer of a trucking company, and my banking years as Vice President Business Services allow me to offer a combination of finance, sales, operations, HR, and facilities expertise not often found in one person. Never one to shy away from a challenge, I leverage process streamlining, data analysis, and sheer determination to realize results. While my colleagues see a dependable team member who excels at managing complex reporting, operational strategy, and restructuring of antiquated systems, they also know me as a creative idea generator. I am a life-long learner, lover of the arts, and serve my community on a number of Nonprofit boards. Some highlights of my favorite projects include: MODERNIZING OPERATIONS & GROWTH STRATEGY: At Standard Truck, I implemented new automated systems that saved more than $100K in payroll and benefits. I also established new policies that led to days of “no missed work days” due to accidents. In addition, I innovated a new in-house credit approval and financing service that positioned this company to grow significantly while reducing bad debt write-offs. RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT: While managing a $50M portfolio and handling multimillion-dollar loan requests, my focus on developing strong lines of communication and personal relationships contributed to smooth negotiations, business growth, and satisfied clients. In addition to my professional trajectory and heavy involvement in Nonprofit service, friends are often interested to know I’ve traveled to all 50 of the United States and played golf in 44 of them.
