About Sharon Stott

Passionate about sustainability, circularity, change-for good, innovative solutions and good human centered design. A naturally curious thinker, I work to integrate creative thinking and problem solving; supported by research, futures thinking and a strong strategic lens. With over 20 years sustainability programs, policy and project management experience, my tenure at Sunshine Coast Council and across other QLD and South Australian Local Governments, has been testament to my service to community and a commitment to delivering sustainability outcomes and developing authentic and productive strategic partnerships. I have been proud to lead and co design on community and corporate programs that have contributed to growing resilient, environmentally conscious and resourceful communities that value natural assets and are equipped to support broader sustainability outcomes in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. Across my career, collaborating with stakeholders, making meaningful connections and being curious to embrace new ways of doing things, has contributed to a continued cultural shift towards embedding sustainability at both a workplace and community level.My work practices are founded on the core values of authenticity, trust, respect, empathy, equity and achieving excellence.My personal strengths include Strategic Thinking, Relationship Building, Influencing, Ideation and Executing.
