About Sharon Tan

I enjoy finding new ways of seeing society, politics, and culture in Southeast Asia, and am keen about making technical information accessible, meaningful, and interesting to the lay-person through both content tailoring as well as utilizing design as a visual aid. My strongest skills include analyzing & carrying out qualitative research, designing interactive and engaging event programmes, teaching and training - as well as somehow persisting in watching poorly-written shows till their unfortunate ends. Jokes aside, I genuinely enjoy stories, whatever shape or form they take, simply because I enjoy people, God, cultures, relationships, worldviews — and the wonder of being alive in such a time as this. I would describe myself as someone who appreciates the human condition as it is, in all of its beauty, messy complexity, and even in its brokenness. But because of this, I also desire to do more. Addressing humanitarian aid and social change at a holistic and systemic level is important to me. So I'm glad to be placed in a position currently to contribute to that.
