About Sharon Wise

Driven by a passion for social policy and community development, I am a Policy Analyst at York Region, supporting the Homelessness Community Programs division. My work focuses on policy research, program evaluation, and strategic planning to enhance services for individuals facing homelessness and housing instability. With experience in program policy, service delivery, and stakeholder engagement, I analyze emerging trends, assess program effectiveness, and support the development of innovative, evidence-based solutions. I collaborate with internal teams, service providers, and community partners to strengthen policies and programs that promote housing stability and social well-being. Committed to continuous improvement, I strive to bridge research and practice to drive meaningful change and create more inclusive, supportive communities. When I'm not on the job I love reading classic novels, working my way through every recipe in the family cookbook, and indulging my love for seeing new places.
