My expertise lies in directing medical staff services for Advanced Practice Professionals, where I have successfully redesigned bylaws, streamlined credentialing processes, and enhanced peer review methodologies. I hold a PhD in Nursing Science from East Carolina University, where I currently serve as a Research Assistant Professor. In this role, I embraced the opportunity to be preceptor development coordinator as part of a $2.7 million grant project aimed at improving healthcare access in rural communities. My commitment to bridging gaps in healthcare is matched by my passion for education; I actively present and educate for the Eastern Area Health Education Center and present professionally. I have had the opportunity to present at colleges, national organizations such as AAPA Executive Leadership Conference, internationally (Healthcare for Nigeria) and locally: North Carolina Association of Medical Staff Professionals, North Carolina Association of Healthcare Risk Managers (NC ASHRM). In addition to my academic pursuits, I practice as a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner in dialysis centers, where I apply my clinical skills and knowledge to directly impact patient lives. My proficiency in Clinical Research, Public Speaking, and Electronic Health Record systems positions me as a forward-thinking leader in the healthcare landscape.
