About Shaun Bartley

I currently work as an IT specialist with the USDA Financial Management Services. As an IT specialist I work on several projects using Java web development and also work with Linux servers as well as oracle databases. This is the reason that I left full time law enforcement and changed to a Reserve Officer. I am also currently a Sergeant in the Slidell Police Reserve Division. As a reserve Sergeant I am responsible for a squad of reserve officers and do the same work and tasks as full time patrol officers except as a volunteer. Prior to changing careers, I worked as a Crime Scene Detective with Slidell Police Department and was responsible for working crime scenes from beginning to end. I did scene photography, processing and collection of evidence from all types of scenes. I received various training classes and certifications for Crime scene and processing. I was trained in photography, fingerprint processing and identification, trajectory, blood spatter analysis and crime scene reconstruction. I also was responsible for video processing and analysis for the department. I earned my B.S. in Information Technology/Advanced Networking from University of Phoenix and also earned my M.S. in HRE/Leadership and organizational development from LSU. I would like to continue my education further and I am currently considering other Masters programs or a Doctoral programs.
