About Shaun Botha

With over a decade of experience in the retail property sector, I have navigated roles across asset management, property development, and financial analytics. My journey began at Redefine, where I advanced from property administration to center manager and property manager, playing a key role in the R1 billion live redevelopment of Centurion Mall.I later transitioned into financial and turnover analytics at Exemplar Reittail, a township-based developer, where we drove change in rural communities by optimizing rent-to-turnover ratios, enhancing tenant mix, and creating synergy among retailers to improve shopper value and experience. Moving into a portfolio manager role at Acsion, I contributed to a 15% growth on an R11 billion portfolio, leading key tenant placements—including McDonald’s and Spur—revitalizing vacant Ster-Kinekor spaces with dynamic brands, and negotiating long-term renewals to maximize asset value. Now in the renewable energy sector, I lead the asset management department at SolarAfrica, focusing on improving customer experience and unlocking value within the existing portfolio. By structuring renewable energy credit revenue streams, we create additional value for shareholders and clients alike. My passion lies in optimizing assets, delivering sustainable business value, and always making the right decisions for the right reasons.Lifting Africa!
