I believe that education provides the key to freedom for all individuals. The context of this freedom is arbitrary, but it can come in the form of economic sustainability, social upward mobility, intellectual expansion, or a wide range of possibilities. Paulo Freire articulates it best when he speaks of freedom as, “the indispensable condition for the quest for human completion. ” By this definition, one could conclude that educators help learners achieve said state of human completion which consequently produces a more self-aware, confident, and hard-working workforce for the future. I want to impress upon pedagogy the importance of looking outside of their own close-knit spectrum and connecting to the global world - especially since they are growing up in a technological age that connects them to the rest of the world instantaneously.
