About Shaun Flagg

With over 15 years in digital media and video technology, I am a strategic and technically adept Senior Cloud Engineer (Client Solutions in Media, Entertainment [MEGA]) at Fastly. My expertise spans video delivery, streaming architectures, multi-CDN strategies, and digital rights management (DRM). I have a track record of leading product development for high-scale streaming solutions, optimizing content delivery, and improving video playback experiences. At Brightcove, I drove the vision and execution of VOD Delivery products, including Dynamic Delivery, SSAI, Playback API, Policy API, Multi-DRM, and Multi-CDN. I worked closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless, scalable, and monetizable video experiences for global audiences. Previously, I served as a Senior Cloud Architect at SiriusXM/Pandora, where I designed and built a high-availability image services solution processing millions of daily requests. Earlier, as Staff Solutions Architect at Warner Bros. Discovery, I played a key role in designing video publishing solutions for NBC Peacock, scaling their OTT platform to millions of subscribers. I am passionate about scalable video architectures, server-side ad insertion (SSAI), and next-generation content protection strategies. I thrive in collaborative environments, leveraging a mix of technical acumen, product strategy, and industry insights to drive innovation in video streaming.
