About Shaun Parry
From the age of four, I have spent 37 out of the past 40ish years in an education setting, either as a student or a teacher/educator. Each day has given me an opportunity to influence (hopefully positive) others lives and my own. Currently working on my Master of Education research thesis and trying to represent not only other teachers' perceptions of the national history curriculum, but also my own life or 'history'. Therefore the apt title of the past, present and future of history education and research. My ultimate goal is to effect (or is that affect?) change on a personal, educational and social context through education and research. The understanding of the past, empowers future thinking, but also must remain grounded in the present.
