In early 2017, a group of Transgender Activists took a long hard look at the political climate and realized that our civil rights were in grave jeopardy. The reason is simple - our protections are by executive order, not coded law. In late June of 2017, we will mark the fifth anniversary of having any Federal protections. Now, these protections are being removed one by one. This is not acceptable. Thus, the We Exist Coalition of the Finger Lakes came into existence. Our mission is simple: To create visibility for the Transgender and Gender Expansive Community; To be a resource for the same, their families, their employers, and all who work with our Community
