I graduated from the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy where I earned a masters degree in Food Culture and Communications. As well as learning an interdisciplinary approach to gastronomy, I acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to work in the food communications field. This in-depth knowledge not only coincides with my never-ending appetite for learning about food and wine, but also instigates invaluable strategies for communicating, promoting, and selling food and wine. With the school’s tie to Slow Food, I have a keen interest in all-encompassing food education: I want to teach people about the importance of knowing where their food comes from; understanding the quality of seasonal foods, availability and food-miles; promoting better food choices and eating habits; supporting local producers and fair labour; and ensuring the secured development of food sustainability.
