With over ten years of experience in the insurance industry, I am a passionate and driven intermediate P&C underwriter at Aviva Canada. I have earned the prestigious Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India, Chartered Insurance Professional and Canadian Risk Management credentials, demonstrating my commitment to excellence and continuous learning. In my current role as an intermediate P&C underwriter at Aviva Canada, I have delivered outstanding results and contributed to the growth and profitability of the company. I have performed account modelling that led to better data quality and precise pricing, resulting in an increase in the top line by $1.3M. I have also improved data quality for incorrectly captured information in the portfolio, leading to a positive loading during reinsurance pricing and savings of about $0.5M in the company’s bottom line. Furthermore, I have been a product champion for a data management tool introduced in 2021, which is expected to bring about further savings to multiple downstream teams. I have been involved in vendor vetting, data testing, proof of concept, and discovery stages till this point.
