About Shautoya Redding

I am a Oakland University alumnus with a Bachelors of Arts degree double majoring in Psychology & Sociology respectively. In the near future, I would like to obtain my masters in social work. I believe the human mind is very amazing to me and how human beings behaviors reflect off their decisions from that is astonishing. I am very interested in helping individuals, especially African Americans and women regarding poverty, mental health, substance abuse, & family issues to improve their quality of life. As being a previous intern at Oakland County Friend of Court, I've experienced helping individuals with these issues by obtaining resources that will potentially improve their unfortunate circumstances. I've also learned to communicate and understand individuals from diverse population, such as mental illnesses,substances abuse, homelessness, etc. These things I've experienced, will assist me in my future on my advocacy of social issues.
