About Shawn Baldeo

I am currently a Forensic Psychiatrist and Lawyer. I recently completed the Forensic Psychiatry Subspecialty program at McMaster University. Prior to that, I completed my five-year Psychiatry residency training at the University of Toronto. I previously completed my Doctor of Medicine (MD) from McMaster University and my Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Prior to that, I completed my Masters degree in Socio-Legal Studies as well as my undergraduate degree in Criminology, both from York University. In the future, I hope to combine my legal and medical knowledge. Some fields of interest include forensic psychiatry, independent medical assessments, as well as consent and capacity. I look forward to networking, connecting, and completing research with other professionals with similar interests.
