About Shawn Imran

I am a graduate with a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh. In my four years I've tried to do a lot with my free time. During my free time, I gained leadership, public speaking, teamwork, and communication skills. I wanted to be involved and make social connections. I was involved with organizations, my personal favorite being Student Government. Being the representation for the student body meant a lot of responsibility, and I really enjoyed it. During my summer I like to keep myself busy. My summer after Freshman year, I worked at Greentree medical center as office support and at times front desk. My summer after sophomore year, I interned at UPMC Mercy, where I assisted with 3 diverse research projects. My senior year I did my senior project on Japanese Knotweed, an invasive species. I have looked into and showed many diverse biological fields. I wish to continue this because my passion relies in research and biology. I would like to end up in a position as either someone who deals with patients or a researcher.
