About Shawn Mitchell

I’m a veteran business leader and U.S. Army Combat Engineer who has spent the past two decades building, scaling, and leading organizations in the HVAC, plumbing, and service industries. Along the way, I’ve learned that great leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about accountability, teamwork, and inspiring others to succeed. As President & CEO of Modern Mechanical, I took a start-up service company and grew it into a multi-division operation, streamlining processes, increasing profitability, and driving consistent year-over-year sales growth. My experience spans P&L management, strategic growth, team development, regulatory compliance, and community engagement.Beyond business, I’ve been deeply involved in community leadership: Chair of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, President of the Rotary Club of Ashburn, Inova Loudoun Foundation Board, and Board Member of the Virginia Department of Professional Regulations. These roles taught me how to unite diverse groups of people around a shared vision and create lasting impact. Now, I’m ready to bring these skills to a new challenge—even if it’s outside the traditional HVAC/service sector. I thrive in leadership roles where I can align strategy with purpose, build strong teams, and drive sustainable growth.
