About Shawn Moulis

I am currently in my second year pursuing my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Hanover College. Previous to my attendance to Hanover I worked as an industrial exercise physiologist for Toyota Motor Manufacturer of Kentucky working alongside the safety team. Within my time there I got to work alongside the medical staff that consisted of physical therapists, doctors, nurses, as well as an ergonomic team. I learned how important it is for the educating of proper lifting techniques to individuals within the industrial workplace. My experience was always with athletes so my idea of the education of the body and how it works was only directed toward the athlete population. This was due to the fact that before working as an exercise physiologist I was getting my Masters in Exercise Science at Middle Tennessee State University and the curriculum was directed mostly towards athletes and the at risk population. Once I started my job after graduating with my masters, I began to see how important education of the movement system was for the general public and the industrial workplace. Learning this was the driving factor of wanting to further my education where I can begin to make a difference where I think it really matters.
