About Shawn Murphy

I recently finished ODU’s BS program in Mechanical Engineering. I’m devoted to effective coverallon and the widespread well-being and happiness of everyone I interact with, as shown in my role as President of ODU’s Canterbury Episcopal center. I’m a hard-working, punctual, and respectful individual with high enthusiasm for the frontier of physics and space exploration. The roles that best demonstrate this enthusiasm are as a 3D Designer at NASA LaRC, 3D Modeling Engineer for ODU’s involvement with the SeaLion CubeSat mission, and Presentation Specialist for the Michael & Kimthanh Lé Planetarium. I’d like to continue developing my technical skills to improve the accuracy and utility of my perspective on community development and improvement throughout the locality scale from personal to global via the engineering process, and I would love to work for a company or government agency that can support this growth. My primary ambition is to build a network of colleagues that I can genuinely call my friends everywhere I go. I see mechanical and aerospace engineering as the conduits for my dreams of exploring the nature of reality, while design and manufacturing engineering build on that knowledge to expand on what’s humanly possible.
