About Shawn Nelson
Anyone who drives knows how dangerous the roads can be. When we created the Independent Carrier Safety Association, we decided to do something to make a difference. We assist authorized small motor carriers with safety solutions that they ordinarily would not be able to have and coach them on how to apply those tools to maximize their safety results. For carriers applying those safety technologies, we also offer a reduced rate insurance product that helps to lower one of the highest costs for any motor carrier. In order to allow our members to obtain the insurance, ICSA is authorized as a risk purchasing group in 47 states. Working with a nonprofit is extremely rewarding. As a 501(c)(6) membership organization, we invite motor carriers to become members. They pay a small amount of annual dues and, in turn, we assist them to be safer which makes them more profitable. Personally, I'm a hard worker and very goal oriented. My objective is to be able to make this world better through my work and my life, so I am fulfilling that mission while I'm accomplishing something great.
