About Shawn Rosalez

As a combat veteran, a recent graduate with an M.A. in Emergency Management, and someone who has been in the public safety field for over 20 years, I am a perpetual student of my profession continually looking for better solutions to growing problems. I am an innovative emergency management planner focused on driving efficient and comprehensive emergency management for organizations, agencies, volunteers, and community-based groups, that help integrate a whole-community approach into state & local planning. Recognizing threat-based analyses, best practices, historical analogies, after-action reviews, and implementing strategies that are designed to prevent, mitigate, respond to, and recover from natural and man-made disasters with the least amount of impact on the community. Understanding that the effects of climate change and natural disasters will continue to grow throughout the nation and being able to adopt strategies to combat these changes not only in a mitigation and preparedness setting but also through the long-term recovery process that concentrates on sustainable disaster recovery.
