I left college and joined Laborer's Local 159. I was able to spend 5 years traveling across Illinois, Ohio, and West Virginia working in natural gas and oil pipeline construction. I was able to work my way up from low-level labor up to being an assistant foreman on multiple crew. After working in the oil industry, I've moved in the warehouse and agriculture industries, operating machinery from forklifts to front-end loaders.
