About Shawna Chambers

The City of London's Stormwater Engineering division consists of a team of engineers, technologists, as well as a hydrogeologist, and ecologist to implement stormwater and water resources projects in our community, including Master Plans and Environmental Assessments, stormwater management ponds, wetlands, natural watercourse restoration, and green infrastructure (GI) for both new development and retrofit projects. The City promotes "Complete Corridors" as part of the SWM strategy to support new subdivisions as a way to construct sustainable waterway connections that move water, people, and wildlife. Complete Corridors are designed as engineered natural watercourses that will benefit the environment while providing a refuge to promote local residents to interact with nature. Always seeking innovation and challenging "the way it's always been done," the Stormwater division also advocates for updated floodplain policies and optimization of provincial policies to improve our ability to deliver sustainable water resources and stormwater management infrastructure, all for the benefit of the natural environment and our local community.
