About Shawna Stanhope

I began my travel adventure in 1985 working for Uniglobe Travel in Bedford Nova Scotia. From there I worked for the next 18 years with three other agencies; Maritime Marlin, Carlson Wagonlit and Burgess Travel. In 2003 I decided to take the big leap and open my own agency, Stanhope Travel Services. I have been running this successfully for the last 10 years. In November of 2011 I decided to form a partnership with Destination Weddings.com and since then have organized over 30 destination weddings in various places around the world. My passion for travel has lead to some very exotic destinations. I have travelled to China, Figi, Greece, Italy, France, England, Amsterdam, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, Ireland, Mexico, Jamaica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, Bermuda, United States(Florida, Nevada, California, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Missouri, New York, Arizona) and of course all over Canada. Cruising is still one of my most favorite ways to travel. It allows me to visit multiple destinations while staying in the comfort of my own "floating resort". The evolution of cruising has been amazing from the small ships to the large mega liners to the intimate river cruise to the destination immersion cruising. There is something for everyone! I have cruised with AMA Waterways (river cruise), Azamara Club Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norweigan and Princess Cruise Lines.
