About Shawnte Bryant Clawson

With over 28 years of experience as an educator, I’ve had the privilege of serving in diverse roles—from classroom teacher to community health advocate. My career began in public education, laying the foundation for my passion in youth development and lifelong learning. For the past 14 years, I’ve served with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension as a County Extension Agent in Family & Community Health and a 4-H youth development specialist. In this role, I’ve led research-based health initiatives, provided volunteer training, and collaborated on curriculum development and program evaluation tailored to meet community needs. I have also served as an Adjunct Professor, teaching courses on the History and Philosophy of Cooperative Extension. This role allowed me to bridge academic and community engagement, fostering meaningful connections between higher education and the real-world impact of Extension work.
