Shay has a B.S. in Engineering and in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, and has taken post-graduate studies in law, deconstruction, hazardous waste, and contracts. He sits on many civic and community boards, and truly becomes involved with communities in which he works, lives, and plays. He also spent 22 years building design/build military construction projects in 26 states, the Caribbean and Central America. Shay gained additional experience in South America, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
