I am a Soil Scientist specializing in Biogeochemistry and Sustainable Soil Management. My work focuses on Cropping Systems, Nutrient Cycling, Carbon Dynamics, Environmental Agronomy, Root-Soil-Microbiome Interactions, Soil Health and Quality, Agroecosystem Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Mitigation, and Climate-Resilient Agriculture. My goal is to ensure food security and protect our planet's environment for future generations in the face of global change. As a soil biogeochemist, I study the physical, chemical, and biological processes in diverse soils across various landforms and ecosystems. I aim to understand the complex processes that govern the functions, productivity, and sustainability of both agricultural and natural ecosystems. My past and future research projects investigate the impacts of natural and anthropogenic activities—particularly climate change, land use change, and pollution—on soils and the environment at scales ranging from the plot level to entire ecosystems, landscapes, and regions.
