Background
About Shayna Rector Bleeker
I'm a cofounder, communications and partnerships executive who has been an intrapreneur in advertising, energy and municipal government. I’ve played on, and built, some great teams and am now a committed circular economy, climate action and sustainability catalyst. Most recently this has seen me cofound a company (7Gen) to speed up the adoption of commercial battery electric vehicles and reduce emissions by combining urban fleet demand and mobilizing 70M of capital from public/private sources to deploy EVs, infrastucture, and the supporting software. Colleagues say they most love my energy, quick wit, and reputation for being a bright spark at both the leadership table and in the trenches to get things done. As a consultant or Board member I bring quality analysis, an injection of ideas, and a strong sense of systems thinking. I enjoy mentoring and being mentored, as I am doing through the Women 4 Climate initiative hosted by the Zero Emission Innovation Centre Words most often used to describe me: Bold. Earnest. Innovative. Passionate. Visionary. Connected. Caring.
