About Shayne McLaughlin

As a former Regional Manager at Fortress North America, I leveraged my expertise in wildfire mitigation and sales to protect communities from the devastating impacts of wildfires. With over three years of experience in this role, I have developed strong relationships with clients across public and private sectors, driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. I also hold two certifications from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), demonstrating my commitment to staying updated on the latest best practices in wildfire mitigation. In addition to my sales role, I have a passion for wildfire safety and resilience. As a former Wildfire Defensible Space Specialist and Lead Defensible Space Inspector, I conducted comprehensive risk assessments and inspections for residential, commercial, and community properties in Nevada County, California. I identified fire hazards and provided actionable recommendations, collaborating with local fire agencies, homeowners' associations, and emergency management teams. I also spearheaded the transition of the defensible space program to a full-time appointment, creating public educational materials and speaking at events on wildfire safety. My goal is to help communities prepare for and respond to wildfires effectively.
